Each volume 9.5ins x 6.5ins. Volume one: lvi, 331pp plus colour frontis and 32pp plates (nearly all in colour). Also maps and other black and white illustrations within the text. Volume two: xv, (i), pps 331 to 665 plus colour frontis and 32pp plates (mostly colour). Also some black and white illustrations. Preface by Steve Jones. Introduction by George Beccaloni. Books Fine. Slipcase bumped to bottom rear - VG. A fairly scarce set.
