SIGNED and dated by the author on the title page in the year of publication, with an additional inscription on the verso of the front endpaper, “For Claire, with best wishes from Raymond.” Reportedly from the library of Claire Rayner. Laid in is a shipping manifest from AbeBooks relating to a previous sale of the book. A very small scratch to the top right-hand corner of the upper board. Near fine.
