Book Description
The First UK printing published by William Blackwood & Sons, Edinburgh and London in 1926. The BOOK is in Very Good++ or better condition. The correct first issue with original dark blue cloth, spine and front cover lettered in gilt and a double rule border in blind to the front cover enclosing a gilt vignette. Very slight rubbing to the spine ends and corners. A little toning to the text-block. Internally clean with only very light offsetting and spotting to the prelims. The WRAPPER is compete and is in Very Good++ condition. A little marking in places with some toning to the spine, folds and edges. Mild edge wear with a few nicks and a little loss at the upper spine end. The wrapper is protected in a removable Brodart archival cover. An unusually sharp copy of M'Dairmid's key work - The nicest copy we have handled to date.
