Slight spotting, complete and correct with folding map and six plates. A unsophisticated example of this famous travel account. Lady Craven (1750-1828) was a remarkable, intrepid woman who was forced to marry at a young age, then having separated from her husband went travelling, and struck up a relationship with the recipient of these letters, whom she was eventually to marry after their respective spouses died.
