Captain G. F. D. Jones served in the Military Provost Corps during the Italian Campaign. His album contains photographs taken between December 1943 and June 1944 and include images of Anzio, Sangro, German Train Wreckage , German Prisoners, Naples, Anzio Annie 210mm Gun, Salerno, Cassino, “Knocked out German Armour”. Jones was commissioned into the Warwickshire Regt but was seconded to the Military Provost Staff Corps, 5 Division Provost Coy in 1943, 10 Armoured Division Provost Coy 1944. He was MID for Italy from November 1945.
