Book Description
ESTC: L, LEu, Yc; IEG.
Taken out of the realms of the plain sermon by the ‘narrative of transactions relative to the late disposal of the Vicarage of Rotherham’ – probably the main reason for the publication of the work. Essentially, Smith was in the running for the appointment as Vicar of Rotherham; however, other parties were hopeful of preferment. This ‘annexe’ outlines the difficulties which ensued.
