Book Description

This is an interesting early printing of this classic, Millicent Sowerby the artist of this edition, was commissioned by Chatto and Windus to illustrate an earlier 1907 edition of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, in this 1913 Henry Frowde printing she was again commissioned to illustrate the story, here producing a completely new set of illustrations for this edition. Book is bound in floral decorated boards titled in gilt, a smaller format measuring 6.5 inches tall approx., and illustrated with eight colour plates, the binding has some staining and corner wear, internally old presentation inscription to front endpaper, some light handling marks, foxing to some page edges within else in good general condition.
