An Academy for Grown Horsemen [with] Annals of Horsemanship, containing Accounts of Accidental Experiments and Experimental Accidents [by] Geoffrey Gambardo.
Book Description
Bunbury's Academy and Annals first appeared 1787-91, in full quarto, and with stipple engravings by the author. They proved popular, and the subject of the incompetent rider was a natural one for Rowlandson, who produced his own edition in 1809, with plates based on the originals. Finally, this miniature edition, with comic plates in the style of Rowlandson, appeared under the imprint of the noble house of Ackermann. Bound by Birdsall of Northampton with their stamp, and with armorial bookplates of Lord Esme S. Gordon and Walter George Crombie.
