Walker. 1798. ~ First volume second edition ‘with considerable additions’; second volume first edition, of Uvedale Price’s highly influential work on landscape design & the picturesque. Its first appearance was as a single volume in 1794, followed by this greatly enlarged edition in 1796 and by the first edition of a second volume in 1798, which also included his Essay on Architecture. This is in effect the first collected edition of his major work.
