xix, [i], 426 pages + engraved frontispiece and a plate of Windsor Castle facing page 298. In the original paper covered boards with paper spine - the spine has been repaired at some point. Just a few remains of the original spine label. Some offsetting from the frontispiece to the title page. End papers browned. The sketch of the improvements on the title page refers to a written description on pages 395-418.
