Uncommon Edition of this classic tale with a still from the film featuring Anne Shirley in the title role ( from which she took her stage name) . Lucy Maud Montgomery was a popular writer and created a number of books in this series. The film was released in 1934 and was an unexpected hit becoming one of the top grossing films of the year .
Dealer Notes
The book is a nice clean complete copy in publishers original green cloth. Minor corner ‘bumps’ but nothing untoward considering its age. The name of Rita Beck is neatly written in ink on the f.e.p.
The dustwrapper has minor chips to the edges and corners but is a scarce wartime survivor of a well loved tale .
