Folio, 19ins x 14.5ins. Volume one: 6pp list of subscribers, xxii, 52pp text, 66pp plates. Volume two: 64pp text, plates 67 to 145. Also 180 illustrations within the text. On the front pastedown of each volume is a piece of paper headed "Dates of return". Volume one has 4 entries relating to 1899. Previous owners name neatly written on title page of each volume. Also on title page and to rear of each plate is a stamp saying "Perchard House, 70 Gower St, WC". One plate (no 94) has small tear - not affecting image. The plates are on thick paper and are superbly reproduced. Internally VG. Externally the top and bottom of both spines are rubbed and worn with a little loss. Combined weight c10kg - very expensive to post overseas.
