These being ex-library bound volumes from Whitehaven Library in Cumbria which would appear to have subscribed due to the proximity of the then new Calder Hall and the interest in this evolving new technology and its various potential applications. [the first volume was borrowed 6 times the other 2 volumes just once each - so they dont internally show much evidence of handling]
