Published by Decimus, London, 1979, limited edition of 500 copies being a facsimile of the original publication which was issued in parts between 1839 and 1841. This copy number 352. Quarter leather binding with green cloth boards. Title in gilt on large leather patch to front board. Contained in a green slipcase with similar label. Elephant folio, 25.5ins x 19.5ins, marbled endpapers, half title, title page (limitation and printing details to verso) followed by 12 full page colour plates each faced by a page of text. Loosely inserted at the rear is a four page essay by Alwyne Wheeler of the British Museum providing background information on Sir William Jardine and the publishing history of British Salmonidae. Book is Fine. Slipcase is a little rubbed and worn. NB heavy book, very expensive to post overseas.
