Book Description
Published by Spottiswoode & Co Ltd, Eton, 1904 / 5, 1st edition. Blue cloth boards, gilt lettering to front board, no dustwrapper. 14.75ins x 11ins. Contains the five parts as issued, each in their original blue card covers. Each section has covers with a small photograph pasted to the front cover, title page, preface and 8 pages of text each faced by a pasted down illustration. Thus there in total 40 illustrations. Text was edited by "R.A.A.L." . Previous owners signature and date plus a nine line inscription in latin to the front free endpaper. Scratches to rear board. Externally G, internally VG.
