Book Description

First edition, first printing with a facsimile dust jacket. The Crime Club Collins, London 1937. 8 vo., 284 pp.(see Wagstaff & Poole, page 130 to page 139) 'Death On The Nile' is one of Agatha Christie's most popular novels. Misguided love, murder and deception are the main topics of this famous book. This book is now 87 years old and as one of her signature novels it is difficult to get very good or fine copies and almost impossible to get a copy with the first edition dustjacket. So this book might be a relatively cheap alternative for a collector who wants to complete his/her collection. Book is in good+ condition except some fading and spotting to spine and some skewing to text block. One small professional spine repair on the left side of the spine top. Few pages with minor spotting. With the first edition cabin layout on page 133. With 4 pages advertisement at rear. Pictorial facsimile first edition dust jacket is in fine condition except of a few almost invisible creases on the back. Now protected by a transparent archival sleeve.
