Each "Conversation" centres on the pairing of a modern master, recognised for their contribution to the development of twentieth century art, with a living artist for whom the notion of draughtsmanship is integral to their current practice, thus: Pablo Picasso & Chantal Joffe, Henri Matisse & Chris Ofili [see images], Marcel Duchamp & Ceal Floyer, Jackson Pollock & DJ Simpson, Francis Bacon & Damien Hirst, Andy Warhol & Gavin Turk, Joseph Beuys & David Musgrave. Each pairing in the Artists' pages in this book is accompanied by a discussion around the drawings featured here. The book also contains a Selected Bibliography, Artists' information, List of works & notes, and Credits
