‘Edward Bulwer Lytton – The Novels of ’ ~ by The Right Hon. Lord Lytton; pub by George Routledge And Sons, London, nd; in 12 volumes, the books are unnumbered. 8vo format – c5” x c7”. All books are ½ bound in dark green calf with 5 raised bands and ornate gilt decorations on the spine, author’s name printed near top and title printed in middle; red marbled boards and All Edges Marbled, also red marbled endpapers of same design; on the inside cover of each book is a tasteful yellow shaped label with the name ‘Robert J Summers’; inside most vols is a ‘Preface to the Present Edition’ or similar words, and the dates on these vary between 1837 to 1853, with 2 vols not having a date; at the beginning of each story there is a b&w frontispiece; there is intermittent foxing on many of the pages of each book, and there is some small amount of rubbing on some of the bindings with a very small amount of snagging at the top on 1 spine, otherwise the books are in good condition all bindings are with all joints and hinges in Good Condition.
