Book Description

Edward Burra was an unconventional artist who was at the peak of his creative powers during the 1930's. He painted people when that was considered to be out of fashion ; he painted landscapes when these were also considered to be unfashionable. Although profoundly disabled he lead a rich & full life and he left a legacy of fine letters & writing as well as his paintings.
