A poster showing the early Cultural Revolution in Beijing. Dated April 1967, size 21 ¼ x 29 ¾ in. A woodcut printing, produced by The Prints Combat Team of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, a People’s Fine Art House edition. In Very Good vintage condition. The headline reads “Determined to follow the “Sixteen” of the CPC Committee!" [ The “Sixteen” was a series of resolutions made by The Chinese Communist Party in 1966, August 8th, with the full name of “The Communist Party of China Central Committee's decision on Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution”This CPCCC decision effectively marked the start of the Cultural Revolution ] A female Red Guard holds up the sixteen resolutions and is wearing a Red Guard armband.
