Book Description
An early edition of the poet and Essex farmer Thomas Tusser (c. 1524-1580)'s account of his farming year and notes on running a household. Most of the text is in black letter. This edition has been bound in the 18th century with 18th century endpapers, but with older pastedowns; front pastedown has earlier signature of Thomas Martin and rear pastedown is of earlier binder's waste.
P. 5 has inscription of Robert May, dated 1685 (too late to be Robert May of The Accomplish't Cook as he died in or around 1664)
