Limited edition; 8vo; original multi-coloured Ikat cloth, printed presentation leaf, folding map, 80pp. Inscribed by the author to ‘My dear Fitzmaurice, yours sincerely H.I. Harding’. This is number 28 of an unspecified limitation. An account of the author’s travels in Central Asia to take up his post in Kashgar as Vice Consul. The printed presentation leaf states “it is bound in a stuff of which clothes are made in Central Asia and it is the first book, if I may be forgiven for calling it a book, to be published in this part of the world in any European language. Very good, wear to spine and the extremities.
