Book Description

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, J.K. Rowling, Bloomsbury, 1999 Deluxe First Edition, First Impression The first novel in the Harry Potter series and Rowling's debut novel. It has been translated into at least seventy-three languages and adapted into a film of the same name. The book has sold in excess of 120 million copies, making it the fourth best-selling book of all time. This is a first impression of first edition of the Deluxe Edition, covered in red cloth with gold lettering and the author's signature on the front board and the original blue silk ribbon still fully attached. In very good condition, the binding is straight and tight, the boards clean and the gold lettering on the spine bright. There is minimal wear to the top and bottom edges of the spine. The end papers and pages are free from marks, tears and inscriptions. There is a slight wave to the fore edge. It is rare to find this particular edition especially in such good condition making it a wonderful addition to a library or a wonderful gift. Becoming increasingly uncommon and sought after. Will be dispatch carefully wrapped in bubblewrap and a cardboard box.
