A Complete Set of 12 volumes bound in six and published one a year until completion. Each volume illustrated throughout from engravings portraits and manuscripts of the day. The final volume showing traces of restoration to title and verso, possibly evidence of former ownership (see illustration) otherwise the only blemish is to the endpapers which in order to protect the wrappers, library film was attached, now removed there are traces of residue to some of the endpapers (again see illustration) but all in all, still a very good clean sound set of an important edition
