Three volumes, dated 1978, 1879 and 1880. Volume III is entitled 'History of the Indian Mutiny 1857-1859 Commencing from the Close of the Second Volume of Sir John Kaye's History of the Sepoy War'. Matching volumes bound in red half leather with gilt letterin to spines. Boards are generally in good order, just expected shelfwear. Corners are bumped, edges are worn. Spine is faded with bumping to ends. Marbled page edges. All three volumes have had the inned hinges repaired with sellotape. Volume I has some fox to the early/late pages, the other two volumes less so, mostly just to the endpages. Volume I has a folding map with a small closed tear along a fold that has been taped to the reverse. Volume II has four folding maps two of which have closed tears and tape. Volume III has five folding maps with just one having a small closed tear.
