Book Description

First Edition complete with the Very Scarce dust-jacket. Publisher's black buckram with paper title label to spine, and a spare title label tipped in behind rear endpaper. Fore-edge and bottom-edge uncut. Clear, removable, archival protective sleeve fitted to the dust-jacket. Octavo. pp. [i-iv], v -[xii], 276. The text of this book was the thesis submitted by Brooke, in December 1912, for a Fellowship at King's College, Cambridge, following a disappointing performance in the Tripos. A book in Very Good condition in the very scarce dust-jacket with darkening of the spine and minor flaws.
