‘Kate Greenaway’ ~ by M.H.Spielmann & G.S.Layard; pub by Adam & Charles Black in October 1905 and reprinted in December 1905 – 1st edition and reprinted in 1905 with minor alterations; 4to, 6 ½” x 9”, 434pps + 56 colour illustr and many b&w illustrations, all checked and confirmed are in book, and mostly complete with tissue covers to plates. Covers are blue cloth which is decorated on the front and spine with gilt lettering on front cover and spine; front & back cover have faded parts and spine is quite faded through the sun, there is a snag at top of the spine c1” with several other small snags and some slight damage down right side of spine; there is a crack on the joint on the inside cover for the length of the book, but the cover is still well attached to the book; there are some sections of the book with cracks but the binding is quite tight, otherwise the book is in good condition with all plates in their correct place
