FOUR VOLUMES. 8vo. (8.5 x 5.4 inches). Copper engraved portrait frontis in volume one, still with the original tissue guard. Complete with all half titles.
A few small worm holes to a couple of the volumes and some foxing to the text pages throughout but still a very good set in attractive contemporary full tan calf bindings. Spines with raised bands, the compartments ruled and numbered in gilt. Red title labels decorated and lettered in gilt. Two hinges are cracked but holding firm. Overall a very good set in highly attractive early bindings and published in the same year as the two volume first edition.
