Red cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine and front. Boards are marked and generally grubby. Corners are bumped, edges are worn. Spine is faded with bumping to ends. Foxing to the page edges. Age discolouration to endpages, and a smattering within. Front inner hinge is cracked. The binding is loose; the bundles are separating. B/w frontispiece. 382 pp + appendix.
