The main title page, if there was one, and some lacking, the first leaves are part of the index/contents for 1610, index for 1611 and 1612 are complete, some minor spotting and staining and some creased pages, vellum (yapp edge) marked with use, spine grubby, text block mostly firm, leaves browned though very legible and the volume easy to read. Copac and Worldcat state the very few institutions holding the mostly a complete set. La bibliotheque national de France holds a similar volume referenced years 1610 - 1612.
The period of history during the Regency of Queen Marie de Medici from 1605 until the death of Louis XIII in 1643. Richer, the founding editor, said the intention was to gather together the important news from the four corners of the world. The present volume covers the period 1610 - 1612. Over the lifetime, the journals reported on, inter alia, much trade and specifically on the East India company.
