Dealer Notes
First edition. Amis’ ninth novel, which saw a move from his more conventionally literary novels to the thriller -- a transition which proved divisive amongst the British critics. Night Train is a typically distinctive variation on the American noir thriller tradition, through which the leitmotif of variations musical, metaphorical and physical on the jazz standard ‘Night Train’ runs.
