Of Gardens. A Latin Poem. In Four Books. English d by Mr Gardiner. The Third Edition, revised and finish d.
Book Description
8vo. iii-lii [i], 200 (8) (2). 8vo. Folding plate plus four allegorical plates present, but frontispiece not present. A little browned, but a clean example. Bound in magnificent full tree calf by Truslove and Hanson, with their binders stamp to verso of endpaper, c. 1930s, in eighteenth century style with gilt spine, contrasting label, edges speckled yellow, silk tie, gauffered edges and green marbled endpapers. A pity about the missing frontis, but nevertheless a very attractive and interesting item, with a binding in remarkably good condition. A very good example of Truslove and Hanson's work.
