Oblong, 240 x 160mm, 20ff. Original card covers (light rubbing to extremities), tied black cord spine fastening with tassel, blind stamped outer border with central vignette of ancient Egyptian men with horned animals beneath hieroglyphic text (small patch of loss of paper covering to left of central vignette).
An album of some 50 original photographs over 8ff the album, with a couple loose unrelated, from wartime Alexandria with many city scenes including Saad Zaghloul Boulevard (now Safia Zahloul St.), Alexandria waterfront, back streets and markets, religious architecture, gardens, city streets. There are various unnamed groups of presumably expat civilians, occ. military groupings and several of a wartime British cruiser (HMS Penelope?).
