A nice copy of the revised fourth edition in original embossed publishers cloth 8vo.iv.206pps + advertisement leaf and 24 page publishers catalogue dated Sept 1859. Original yellow coated endpapers with Westleys & Co binders ticket to rear. Some restoration but a good sound copy with the double signature ... "John Parkinson 1860" The author was judge of Benares,Collector& Magistrate of Budaon he was eventually forced to flee & with two trusted servants crossed the Ganges under fire and escaping to Cawnpore joining the forces under General Havelock.
