Theodor Liebisch (1852-1922) was a German petrologist & mineralogist. He was curator of the Mineralogical Museum of the University of Berlin, and later Professor of mineralogy and crystallography at Breslau (1880), Greifswald (1883), Königsberg (1884), Göttingen (1887) and Berlin (1908). From 1885 to 1921, he edited Neues Jahrbuch für Mineralogie, Geologie und Paläontologie.
