8vo, orig. cloth, gilt tiger skin vignette to front board. Spine slightly faded, minor wear to extremities; light foxing to prelims. Vg. Bookplate of W.H.B Fletcher (1852-1941) to endpaper. Fletcher was a land owner and politician who also had a deep facination for natural history and in particular trees. He founded Hotham Park House and Marine Park Gardens in Bognor regis, both well known for their wide range of exotic tree species.
