Scarce edition. Undated, facsimile of 1745 edition. Gilt text to front reads Martyrs of the Rvolution 1649. Frontispiece, title, 2 page preface, and 2 page list of subscribers. 10 engraved single sided monochrome plates on thick card with a total of 26 portraits of royalists. Darkened white cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine. All edges gilt. Boards and mottled and darkened. Some bumping to corners. Spine is age darkened with bumping to ends and a small split to the cloth. Slight discolouration to endpages. Front hinge just starting to crack. Textblock is tight, bright and clean.
