MINIATURE BOOK. (3.3 x 2 inches). Portrait frontis, vi, 220pp. Two title pages, one dated 1822, the other 1823. A fine copy of this expertly printed little volume in a highly attractive leather binding of beautiful full plum morocco by Lanscelin. Spine with five raised bands, each with gilt piping. Compartments ruled, lettered and fully decorated in gilt. Boards with triple gilt ruled borders. Stamped monogram to the front board. Board edges double ruled in gilt. Turn-ins with elaborate gilt roll. Marbled endpapers. All edges gilt. Orange, gold and green silk book marker sewn in. A fine copy, housed in a marbled paper covered slip-case. A marvellous piece of book production, both the text and the binding.
