Vaillant. 1764 Contemporary full vellum, gilt lines, black label, marbled endpapers and speckled edges, title pages in red and black, armorial bookplate of Andrew Arcedeckne, Glevering Hall to front paste-down, vellum slightly cocked, but an early example of a parallel text in both English and Italian, with the Italian on the left and the English on the right. Would make a useful learning book, even today. Vaillant seems to have made something of a speciality of Bentivoglio printings, producing also a sole Italian text. This is the parallel English/Italian version. An attractive little book.
