Dealer Notes
‘Over a short period of thirty-six months of the war, until he was tragically lost in Iceland during September 1942, Ravilious made well over a hundred watercolour paintings of British military subjects, with a number of fine lithographs of submarine interiors.’ The artwork is beautifully reproduced and is accompanied by over 280 personal letters, diary excerpts and official memos. Most copies come without the slipcase. A fine copy of a definitive work.
