Book Description

1st edition, special binding for the author, never sold as such, faux vellum, all edges gilt. This was Blyton's own copy, several of her books appear with a similar special binding. This is from the 2010 Ilkley sale of the library of Gillian Baverstock, one of Blyton's two daughters. The contents page has been annotated in pencil, some titles followed by the name of the publisher Dean. The 1963 Dean edition does not contain all the stories of the 1945 first edition, but all which have been marked do appear in the later edition, together with other garnered from the Latimer house edition of 1952. Perhaps Blyton's annotation?
