Undated, The British Library date this edition of the works of Jane Austen to 1883, this example bound in old half leather bindings with marbled paper covered boards, marbled page edges and endpapers, each of the five volumes is illustrated with a frontispiece, just over 7.5 inches tall. The leather bindings have general rubbing wear, there is a 3 inch crack to the leather in the lower part of the upper front joint to Pride and Prejudice, though board still holding well, internally noticeable foxing to reverse of frontispieces on all volumes, a professionally closed tear to page 97 in Sense and Sensibility, only visually noticeable to the blank area of the page, browning to page edges in Pride and Prejudice, else contents in good general condition.
