8vo. In two volumes. Original publisher's brown buckram, contrasting black calf lettering-pieces, printed paper dustwrappers. Very slight shelf-wear, some chipping and marking to dustwrappers, spine panels sunned. Internally clean and crisp. From the library of the late Jeremy Wilson (1944-2017), the authorised biographer of Lawrence, with his distinctive inked ownership inscriptions to FFEPs.
In 1939 Lawrence's magnum opus was selected as one of the first six titles in a new publishing venture - Britain's first major book club, which offered works under two imprints, the Reprint Society and World Books.
