A pair of large first edition volumes. Each book cover 12.5 inches x 10”, thick and extremely heavy. Although having a few faults such as the marks on front covers, and a little foxing to page edges, these are still 2 attractive volumes, full of fascinating topographical information and plates about Stockport, before and at the time of publication.

Condition
Some staining to cloth covers, mainly front, see pictures. A little splitting to marbled paper hinges. Damp mark on one blank end paper (shown in photograph).Generally nice clean solid copies. Occasional minor foxing.
