Book Description

Tell Freedom by Peter Abrahams (Faber and Faber Limited, 1st edition 1954). Dustwrapper design by Berthold Ludwig Wolpe. South African novelist Peter Abrahams’ autobiographical account of growing up in the slums of Johannesburg. Hardback in dustwrapper. 311pp. 8.25 x 5.5 inches approx. (208mm x 140mm). Dustwrapper worn and creased along top edge; light wear to spine ends; maybe a touch sunned/tanned to spine; a little dusty and marked in places but generally very clean. Offsetting to endpapers; age tanned and foxed to margins but pages generally clean, some waviness to edges. Nonetheless, a nice, clean copy in its strikingly designed dustwrapper. [RESERVED]
