The scarce First Edition in unclipped 12/6d dustwrapper of a collection of essays on the English Country Craftsman & his working methods which first appeared between 1941 & 1943 in the Architectural Review.Their reproduction here was discussed with Hennell but never anticipating his tragic early death at the age of 42.Fifteen rural crafts are discussed and imimitably illustrated including Ladder Making,Wheel & Waggon Building, Hedging Basket and Scythe Making. Quarto11½X9" foxing to prelims and repairs to the flimsy D/W but otherwise clean & sound. Loosely inserted original photograph of a donkey operating a bucket well.
