Twenty very attractive hand-coloured plates as listed, title page a little dusty, final plate chipped to foot, frontis chipped to fore-edge and little dusty, recent quarter morocco on cloth boards. All illustrations present and clean overall. An interesting work, which attempts to explore the chemical and practical properties of each plant under consideration, drawing on a very wide geographical range of plant material.
