Ownership inscription reading: A Prize to Benjamin Pritchett for General Improvement. Clifton (?) House ? Mar. 26 John R? L.L.D. All plates present. Second & sixth plate detached but present. Some chipping to detached second plate, otherwise pages bright and clean, clear of foxing. Bright blue publisher’s cloth binding with black vignettes and gilt title and decoration. Minor shelfwear, such as bumping to end bands and some scuffing to bottom fore-edge. Overall in GOOD condition despite the loose plates.
