The first two volumes of the three volume Guardian Tomes of 1734 - text covers period Thursday March 12 1713 to Thursday October 1st 1713. Both volumes complete - although still firm and attached to spine - pages are age browning and cracks are starting to appear internally at places within both books along spine. Both volumes are signed and dated by the books first owner - W Acton Moseley 1735 - twice to rear side front cover and internal ffp before title pages. All signatures in ink - except volume 2 reverse of cover which is in pencil. One notation found - "See Gents Magaz:1780, p 176". No other signatures, inscriptions or notations discovered. Full leather bound hard cover - faded, rubbed gold gilt titles to both spines - edge wear to all edges - rubbed spine and rounded corners - some slight stains and marks on both.
