Published in London by Orlando Hodgson in 1829 this is a very scarce chapbook printing of this tale of murder and revenge in The English Lake District, bound in the original printed wrappers and illustrated with a folding hand coloured frontispiece, just under 7.5 inches tall, 24 pages, the covers have some wear, marking and creasing, small tear to lower edge of rear cover, light browning to title page else in good general condition
